This time the Scientific Center for Manufacturing and Production launched its Startup Weekend Support in Beirut, at the Unesco Palace.
The number of ideas submitted reached 89 ideas.

Beirut: 24 ideas, Baabda: 13, Aley: 3, Chouf: 2, Matn: 5, Kesrouan: 2, Jbeil: 2, Tripoli: 2, Baalbek-Hermel: 8, Zahle: 6, West Bekaa: 4, Rashaya: 1, Sidon: 6, Nabatieh: 5, Tyre: 2, Bint Jbeil: 2, Marjaayoun: 1, Hasbaya: 1.
We also saw diversity in the participants: 65.2% were female, 34.8% male, with 60.7% graduates and 39.3% students.
Different educational backgrounds were represented: 37.1% had bachelor's degrees, 21.3% had master's degrees, 18% were in engineering, and 7.9% had doctorates and others.
Ideas covered various sectors: 8% health, 24% agri-food, 12% technology, 7% education, and 18% Business/E-Business, 22% Engineer, 9% other.
After a careful review by our team, 37 ideas were chosen for further development.
To help participants refine their pitches, we held two workshops with expert trainers at our center.
Among the submitted ideas, and based on the evaluation of the committees, the Scientific Center for Manufacturing and Production chose 15 ideas to move to the second step:

- Vertical Indoor Hydroponic system and plant material development
